Wiring

The wiring had to be placed continually throughout the project as certain stages permanently block access to areas which required wires to run through:

In order to have all the wires as neat as possible I modified a power supply to enable me to use my own wires instead of the provided short multi-coloured wires.

Eventually near the end of the project they all came together like a PCB. Each wire was glued into place in lines using cyanoacrylate glue:

In order to fit the SATA cables into the case as neatly as possible, I had to fabricate my own SATA connectors, which consisted of a store bought exposed SATA data connector with wires soldered onto the pins at a right angle. They were then sealed with rapid steel putty, sanded smooth, and painted gloss black:
